Thanksgiving Feast

Since I don't anticipate having a new recipe to share with you before Thanksgiving, I thought I'd put together a list of my favorite recipes that I would include in a Thanksgiving Feast.

(Luckily, my mom is doing the cooking this year and I'm sure I'll be by her side when it comes time to make the pies. The only thing I've been able to stomach cooking so far is sweets! And I've been dreaming of pumpkin pie...)

Main Dish:

Herb Roasted Turkey with Gravy

Spice Rubbed Roast Turkey Breast

On the Side:
Sausage, Apple, and Cranberry Stuffing

Oranged Cranberry Sauce

Herb Roasted Vegetables

Cauliflower Gratin

Spinach Salad with Butternut Squash and Sherry Maple Walnut Vinaigrette

Spinach Pear and Hazelnut Salad with White Balsamic Vinaigrette

Potato Crescent Rolls

Dessert:

Pear Butterscotch Pie

Apple, Pear, and Cranberry Crisp

Vanilla Bean Ice Cream

Spice Cake with Caramel Cream Cheese Frosting

With Leftovers:

Turkey Pot Pie with Cheddar Biscuit Crust

Turkey Brie and Cranberry Panini

Curried Turkey Salad Sandwich

Happy Thanksgiving!

  1. Really appreciate this post! I'm doing Thanksgiving for the first time this year. My mum moved to America 30 years ago and we only really celebrate English holidays so this year I thought I would embrace my American side. Thanks for the tipsx

  2. Congratulations on your little one. I'm taking a break from nursing since I had mine in December. Don't feel bad about not using your license... that's fantastic that you got it. The knowledge is useful for child rearing, family members in the hospital, and the fact that it's pretty easy to get back into the field. You'll find the perfect balance when it's right!

This break of yours does give me time to play catch up on your recipes.

  3. All of your suggestions sound wonderful. I'm sure you had a great holiday. This is my first visit to your blog, so I took some time to browse through your earlier entries. I'm so glad I did that. You've created a great spot for your readers to visit and I'll definitely be back. I hope you have a great day. Blessings...Mary
